How to qualify
- Member (Craft Service): 70 days worked. Craft Service caucus (2018 policy): 70 days as a 14-hour key or assistant, plus 5 days as daily background craft. Other caucuses have their own policies. Requirements vary by department.
Requirements
- proof of eligibility to work in Canada
- Craftservice: Food Handler certificate
- Craftservice: WHMIS certificate
- Craftservice: Worker Health and Safety Awareness certificate
- Craftservice: orientation
- Craftservice: resume with a letter of intent
- Craftservice: 3 references
- Craftservice: Callsheet / Paperwork seminar before full membership
Application fee: $150 to apply as a permittee, then $100 initiation.
Dues: Base dues are $500 a year. Working dues aren't posted.
Awaiting confirmation: working dues rate; policies for caucuses other than Craft Service. Check with the union before relying on it.
