Minimum rates

UBCP/ACTRA rates

The minimum the agreement sets for each position. On a union set these minimums apply to everyone hired under the agreement, member or not.

Hours and overtime

BC Master Production Agreement (BCMPA) 2025–2028: 1.5x after 8h, 2x after 12h; paid in 6-minute units.

The daily fee is the minimum for a day. 150% after 8 hours worked in a day, 200% after 12, in 0.1-hour units. Rates include 4% vacation pay; Cast & Crew prints it on its own line, so a pay stub's base rate reads about 4% under the rate sheet.

Meals: Meal period due by the end of the 6th hour; meal penalties are paid at the overtime rate in 0.1-hour units until it starts.
